Dan Snyder sells for $3.6 million in Bethesda. Darcars head Jamie Darvish moves into $4.5-million Ritz-Carlton penthouse. Post reporter Lois Romano buys for $3.5 million in DC’s Kalorama.

IN DC: Middle East expert Robert Satloff and his wife, Jennie Litvack, sold a four-bedroom Colonial on Quebec Street in Cleveland Park for $1,090,000. The house, which listed for $1,199,999, has a two-tier deck. Satloff is executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, which studies American interests in the Middle East.

Car mogul Jamie Darvish bought a four-bedroom, six-bathroom penthouse apartment at the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown for $4.5 million. The apartment listed for $6 million and has a master bedroom with a wall of windows overlooking the Potomac as well as a private terrace. Darvish, whose father, John Darvish, founded Darcars Automotive Group, is general manager of his family’s company.

In Maryland: Lobbyist Gil Genn and his wife, Susan, bought a five-bedroom, six-bathroom Colonial in Gaithersburg’s Greenhills Farm for $1.17 million. The house has four fireplaces, three bars, a library, and an exercise room. Genn, a former member of the Maryland House of Delegates, is a founding partner of Genn & Murphy, a lobbying firm based in Annapolis.

International-business and security expert David Rothkopf and his wife, Adrean, bought a six-bedroom, four-bathroom Colonial on Loch Lomond Drive in Bethesda’s Bannockburn Estates for $1,150,000. The house listed for $1,175,000 and sits on about half an acre. Rothkopf has founded several consulting firms including the Rothkopf Group and Intellibridge and written several books including Running the World: The Inside Story of the National Security Council and the Architects of American Power.

In Virginia: Lawyer Joseph Simons bought a new five-bedroom, six-bathroom house in McLean’s Evans Farm for $2.67 million. Simons is a partner in the antitrust practice of Paul Weiss, a DC firm.
