Fiorina is the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard.

Healthcare executive Edward Eckenhoff and his wife, Judi, sold a home on 35th Street in Georgetown to real-estate agent Nancy Itteilag for $2,000,000. The two-bedroom house has four fireplaces. Eckenhoff is CEO of the National Rehabilitation Hospital.

Lawyer Stanton Anderson bought a three-bedroom condo on 23rd Street in Foggy Bottom for $1,280,000. The condo, which listed for $1,299,000, has two balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. Anderson heads the Government Strategies Practice Group in the DC office of McDermott Will & Emery.

Education executive Marc S. Tucker sold a two-bedroom condo on Connecticut Avenue in DC's Kalorama neighborhood for $1,450,000. Tucker is president and founder of the National Center on Education and the Economy, a nonprofit group.

Writer Susan Shreve and her husband, literary agent Timothy Seldes, bought a three-bedroom farmhouse in Cleveland Park for $1,350,000. The house listed for $1,200,000 and has an artist's studio with vaulted ceilings. Shreve, who founded the MFA program in creative writing at George Mason University, writes adult and children's fiction.

Musician Marta Istomin bought a two-bedroom condo on 25th Street in DC's Foggy Bottom for $1,100,000. The condo has a balcony with views of Georgetown as well as a roof deck, pool, and gym. Istomin, a cellist, was the artistic director of the Kennedy Center from 1980 to 1990.

In Virginia: Lawyer James Baker IV bought a three-bedroom Colonial townhouse on Evans Farm Drive in McLean for $1,395,000. Baker, son of former secretary of State James Baker III, is a partner in the DC office of Baker Botts.

Peter Barton Hutt bought a four-bedroom townhouse on Fairfax Street in Old Town Alexandria for $2,220,000. The home, which listed for $2,450,000, was built in 1775. It has six fireplaces and a gourmet kitchen. Hutt is senior counsel for the law firm Covington & Burling.
