Barnyard-themed knickknacks and green tables give the feel of a cozy country store. The rotisserie chickens ($13.95) are the main event—they outshine the ribs, though those aren’t bad.
Chicken salad on a cornmeal-dusted kaiser roll ($7.95) has the right amount of mayo. Chicken soup ($4.65 for a bowl) with wide, eggy noodles tastes like Grandma’s. The best sides are macaroni-and-cheese and an offbeat broccoli-and-bleu-cheese salad. Dessert yields an unexpected surprise: one of the area’s best chocolate-chip cookies.
