There aren’t many places for Woodley Park residents to get a morning fuel-up besides this sprawling wi-fi cafe, but that’s not the only reason it stays packed. The coffee drinks, both classic and inventive, are always well made—the owners also run the Adams Morgan coffeehouse Tryst. And there are worthy choices both sweet (fluffy French toast) and savory (cheesy scrambled eggs; fried-egg sandwiches). In the mood for a little of each? Order the OC Royale, an everything-goes plate of multigrain pancakes or brioche French toast plus eggs, bacon, sausage, or ham, and hash browns or grits for $10.50.
