With its mix of families, couples, and Palisades notables, the Boathouse is very much a local hangout. Not every dish is a prizewinner and the bar bill can add up, but the comfortable armchairs in the dining area are inviting and the burgers juicy, cooked to order, and just the right size. The owners are Greek-American, so it makes sense that Greek dishes such as egg-lemon soup, spanakopita, and custardy galatoboureko are well turned out, too.
