Half of this pint-size shop on the ground floor of Rosslyn’s Hotel Palomar is devoted to domestic and imported wines and microbrews, so the limited food selection is best for a light, European-style meal. Choose from more than 35 artisanal cheeses, including the Italian wine-rubbed ubriaco and a piquant Spanish azul penacorada (both $27 a pound). To go with it, reach for a box of La Panzanella croccantini—superior to the store’s dry house-made breads—and a zesty stick of Molinari-brand pepperoni. We like dressing up our cheeses with a drizzle of the jarred chestnut honey.
