Better known as a French bistro, Praline also has an inviting first-floor cafe with a gas fireplace, free wi-fi, and delicious pastries, cappuccinos, and lattes to go. Try a plate of pastel macaroons (95 cents each), a crisp, buttery raspberry framboisine ($3.15), or a pumpkin muffin studded with pumpkin seeds ($2.85).

Fancier creations such as rustic apple tarts ($3.95), chocolate éclairs ($3.50), and apricot-filled chocolates ($1.15 each) beckon in the glass case. There’s light fare, too—soups such as potato-leek or asparagus ($4.95), a red-onion-flecked chicken salad over greens ($4.75), and to-go meals ($6 to $8.95) such as duck confit with cabbage or salmon with green beans. Open Monday through Friday 8 to 8, Saturday and Sunday 8 to 7.
