Are there bagel shops with better atmosphere? Sure. That stack their sandwiches more impressively? Yes. But if you care about the bagel itself—if you rue our distance from New York and search for an alternative—then you should make the acquaintance of this hole in the wall. These are the genuine article—small and not a bit doughy, with a crunchy exterior and an airy center. Order the “everything” with Nova lox and see if you’re still pining for New York. Monday through Friday 6 am to 3 pm, Saturday 6:30 to 3, Sunday 7 to 2.
