Best Dishes Potato chips; egg-salad sandwich; turkey burger, pizza burger, or other burgers.
Dig into the fresh-from-the-fryer chips ($2.50) here and you’ll understand the devotion felt by the restaurant’s many regulars. An irresistible cross between a fry (soft in the middle) and a chip (crunchy at the edges), they’re served, appropriately, with a cup of ketchup. You can also order a neat variation dusted with Old Bay.

The chips aren’t the only attraction. Pair them with a chunky egg-salad sandwich ($6.25), a turkey burger ($6.95), or any of the other burgers from a long lineup, including a fun—and massive—one smothered in pizza sauce and draped with sautéed peppers and onions ($8.45).
