In the back of the tiny Kennedy’s Natural Foods shop is a lunch counter that caters to customers who crave wholesome but flavor-packed soups and sandwiches. The Power Veggie ($6.89) loads your choice of bread—pick the seven-grain for an extra boost—with carrots, cucumber, avocado, and sprouts; oil and vinegar gives it some tang.
