House-made tofu here offers vegetarians a refuge among pork-happy Eden Center restaurants. Meat eaters, too, will be wowed by the signature offering, especially in its silky, warm state: Flavored sauces such as ginger syrup and coconut milk transform tubs of spoonable fresh tofu ($1.75) into comforting meals that could pass as savory desserts.

Rice crepes stuffed with caramelized onions ($4 a pound) come with a spicy nuoc cham sauce that also perks up slabs of fried tofu, which come in three flavors: plain (seven pieces for $1), mushroom and onion (five for $1), and our favorite, lemongrass and chili (three for $1).
