Washington needs more spots like this snug breakfast/lunch counter where a Johnny Cash soundtrack competes with the slapping and scraping of spatulas on the griddle. The breakfast sandwiches, served all day, are greasy but good. There’s a cheesesteak with a fried egg stuffed inside and a freshly carved turkey-and-bacon pileup on French toast, but it’s tough to beat the classic bacon-egg-and-cheese.
