DC’s Power Napping and Meditation Studio is Expanding to Bethesda

Turns out, you don’t have to work on K Street to be exhausted, stressed, and overworked. Or at least, that’s the conclusion we’re drawing from the fact that Recharj—the power nap and meditation studio where Washingtonians can get a few minutes of shut-eye in the middle of the day—is expanding to Bethesda.

For those familiar with Recharj’s downtown DC location, the new Bethesda outpost will be similar in size and design. The Recharj Bethesda will have a central meditation room with turf flooring and sound-dampening curtains; a power nap space, with six-foot bean-bags called Yogibos for sleeping, to one side; and a space for private and small group meditation sessions to the other side.

Yogibo bean bags mold to your body for an ideal power napping situation.

The class programming will be the same at both locations, including the 25-minute power-nap sessions and 35-minute meditation sessions. A single power-nap session is $9, while a single meditation session is $18, and an unlimited monthly membership goes for $79.

To celebrate the new location, Recharj Bethesda is hosting an open house on November 15 from 4 to 7 PM. At the open house, attendees can try out the meditation classes for free, purchase memberships at a discount, and snack on light refreshments.

“We’re excited to bring restorative and contemplative practices to an already rich community of medical and healthcare professionals,” says Recharj founder Daniel Turissini. “Bethesda has welcomed us with open arms.”

The new Recharj is located at 6430 Rockledge, Suite 400 in Bethesda.
