Ann: Good morning chatters! Hope you have all had great weeks. We on the food team are hard at work on our next 100 Best Restaurants issue (coming at you this February)—and we’re ranking all 100 of ‘em again. A challenging, debate-heavy task, but a fascinating one, too.
It’s been an interesting year—some traditionally high performers are better than ever, while others have noticeably slipped. There haven’t been as many indie upstart restaurants this year—many of 2018’s biggest newcomers were either at the Wharf or the Line Hotel. Next year, I’m most looking forward to a few more personal projects, such as Albi, the new place from the very talented ex-Isabella Concepts chef Michael Rafidi, and the fermentation-heavy Jont, from Bresca’s Ryan Ratino.
