Dr. Andrew Schwartz is a board certified specialist in orthodontics and dento-facial orthopaedics with practices in Washington, DC and Rockville, MD. He is uniquely qualified to treat both children and adults, and takes great pride in creating beautiful functional smiles. He has been voted a Top Dentist in Washingtonian Magazine in every issue since he has been in practice.

Dr. Schwartz attended college at Emory University and the dental school at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated there amongst the top of his class with multiple honors and publications. After dental school Dr. Schwartz chose to stay at the University of Pennsylvania and complete his specialty residency training in orthodontics.

Dr. Schwartz is especially proud of his certification with the American Board of Orthodontics and is one of only a handful of board certified doctors in the DC area (www.americanboardortho.com). At the time of his initial certification he was one of the youngest doctors to achieve such an accomplishment. In 2010, he became the very first orthodontist to successfully defend an orthodontic case treated with Invisalign in front of the American Board during his voluntary recertification.

Dr. Schwartz believes there is always something new to learn about orthodontics. He fully embraces the latest technological advances in his techniques to make treatment easier and more comfortable for his patients. Dr. Schwartz is one of the most experienced Invisalign providers in the country as he has treated over 1,900 patients using the discrete clear aligners. He is looked to by his peers as a leader in the field as he publishes technical articles and lectures to other orthodontists about his techniques.
