With his advanced training and knowledge, Dr. Deutsch is a master of appearance-related dentistry and smile makeovers, where he expertly places crowns, veneers and implants to attain dazzling results. At the Washington Center for Dentistry, where he is part of an expert dental practice with a focus on “Oral-Health Equals Body Health,” he believes that maintaining excellent mouth health is a critical part of maintaining a healthy body.

Dr. Deutsch is also sought after for his expertise in the latest approaches in high-tech “Implant Dentistry,” including “All-on-Four Implants,” a miraculous way to provide dramatic, same-day results in tooth replacement. “So many of our patients suffer from poor ability to chew healthy food and from the need to retreat from social activities because of missing or loose teeth,” says Dr. Deutsch. “Today’s technology makes replacing teeth easier and more affordable than ever.”

Dr. Deutsch also specializes in creating custom mouth guards, which he’s done for the Washington Wizards basketball team since 2009. In addition, he is skilled in sports dentistry, where he focuses on protection from and prevention of injuries to players’ mouths.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Dr. Deutsch is a graduate of and received his dental degree from the esteemed State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry. Throughout his education and career, Dr. Deutsch has trained with some of the top dentists in the field to further his knowledge.

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Dr. Deutsch is voted 2017 “Top Dentist” in Washingtonian Magazine. Dr. Deutsch is one of a small number of dentists nationwide to be a board-certified anesthesiologist and Fellow in General Anesthesia. Due to his stunning work, Dr. Deutsch is also sought after as a frequent contributor on TV, in magazines and newspapers on an array of topics related to the latest in advanced dental care, as well as trends in “smile design.” He has appeared in influential magazines such as Health, New Beauty, Self, TIME and Washingtonian for his views on creating healthy, beautiful, natural-looking smiles. Dr. Deutsch has also been featured on National Public Radio and in a front-page story in The Washington Post.

Since 2009, Dr. Deutsch has been the Team Dentist for the NBA’s Washington Wizards basketball team. He has made custom mouth guards for all the players, and recommends that mouth guards be worn during practice and games to protect teeth. Dr. Deutsch has a treatment area in the Wizards locker room, and is there with the team before and after games, and on the sidelines in case of an emergency. Dr. Deutsch is a big Wizards fan, and is honored and privileged to serve in this role, which he finds very rewarding.

As a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry, Dr. Deutsch has an interest and is influential in exchanging ideas related to Sports Dentistry with other prominent dentists and athletes about the dental needs of athletes at risk for sport injuries.
