Dr. Maull grew up in Fairfax, VA, and graduated from The George Washington University, where she studied mechanical engineering and biology.  She attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, and performed her Orthodontic Residency and received her Masters Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She went on to complete a Surgical-Orthodontic Fellowship at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, NYU Medical Center.  She has authored several articles and lectures nationally and internationally.  In addition to private practice, Dr. Maull is a member of the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children Craniofacial Program.  Dr. Maull has a special interest in the multidisciplinary approach to total facial esthetics.

Most orthodontists undergo training for 2-3 years only.  Dr. Maull trained for 4 years in order to be able to treat more complicated issues affecting the facial structures and bite.
