Dr. Harlene Sandler is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. She brings a unique perspective to the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery, having worked first as a dental assistant, then as a dental hygienist, and ultimately deciding to return to dental school to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a gentle, warm and friendly environment. She treats patients of all ages. She and her staff will work diligently to ensure that your experience in the office is a positive one.
Dr. Harlene Sandler is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is a member of the Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Mid Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the Maryland State Dental Association. She is a former clinical instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Sandler has been voted Top Dentist by her colleagues in the Washingtonian in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015.
Dr. Sandler strives to provide exceptional care utilizing the latest technology including cone beam volumetric imaging, Piezo Ultrasonic Surgery, and digital radiography for dental implant placement, third molar and dental extractions as well as identification of pathology. Her supportive and dedicated staff will work with you to address your concerns regarding billing, insurance benefits and filing of insurance claims. She runs a study club providing continuing education to other dentists, and continues her education by attending numerous study clubs and continuing education courses.
