Dr. Solomon is a Board Certified, orthopedic hand surgeon practicing in the DC metropolitan area. He is a partner at Montgomery Orthopaedics in Kensington, Maryland, a division of the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics.
Dr. Solomon has been in practice since 2003. During that time he has received many awards and accolades. He has also spoken and published nationally and internationally in the field of hand surgery. He is an active member of the American Society for Surgery the Hand, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Washingtonian Magazine has named Dr. Solomon a Top Doctor in the field of hand surgery in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017. Additionally, he has been a regional Top Doctor in the field of hand surgery as rated by his peers in Castle Connolly 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016 & 2017.
Dr. Solomon has also served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring Maryland since 2005. There, he oversees a busy orthopaedic surgery department with more than 30 surgeons. His practice in hand and upper extremity surgery focuses on patients with pain and disorders in the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Emphasis is placed on treating these disorders conservatively, yet efficiently. Sub specialty focus includes the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, fractures, hand and wrist reconstruction, tendinitis, tennis elbow and rotator cuff disease.
Dr. Solomon has been in practice since 2003. This followed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland, and then a fellowship at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for sub specialization in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr Solomon attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for his undergraduate degree, and New York University for his medical degree, Dr. Solomon grew up locally in Bethesda, Maryland where he attended Walt Whitman High School.
