John F. Dombrowski, MD

Dr. Dombrowski has been a Washingtonian Top Doctor for 10 years and is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist specializing in Pain Medicine. A Georgetown School of Medicine graduate, Dr. Dombrowski trained in anesthesiology at Yale and worked in hospital-based anesthesiology and pain medicine for over a decade. In 2004, Dr. Dombrowski founded The Washington Pain Center, specializing in care for acute and chronic pain, such as neck and back pain unresponsive to narcotic therapy or surgery. In addition to medication management, Dr. Dombrowski offers state-of-the-art interventional procedures for diagnosing and treating pain. Dr. Dombrowski responds personally to all patient calls and was awarded the “On-Time Physicians Award” in 2009 (Patients’ Choice). Dr. Dombrowski is the Medical Director of the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program and Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University. He is past president of the DC Society of Anesthesiologists and on the Board of Directors at the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Dombrowski has appeared as a frequent guest speaker on NBC’s Today show, CNN, Good Morning America, and The Dr. Drew Show discussing the safety of pain medications and integrated approaches for treating pain.
