Dr. Kenneth Schwartz is a highly skilled and experienced glaucoma and cataract surgeon, with specialized training in glaucoma laser surgery, surgical trabeculectomy, and glaucoma drainage implant surgery as well as general cataract surgery, cataract surgery with multifocal implants and the surgical correction of astigmatism. His practice primarily focuses on surgical consultation for patients with glaucoma or cataract. He is regularly consulted by colleagues locally and nationally for second opinions regarding diagnosis and surgical management of complex cases. Dr. Schwartz regularly lectures and teaches glaucoma diagnostic and surgical techniques to the ophthalmology residents at the Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University ocular surgery programs. His practice encompasses all of general ophthalmology and is complemented by his involvement with surgical missions to developing countries such as Peru and Ghana.
