Catherine H. “Kate” McQueen guides clients through the often difficult and emotional path of family disputes with calmness and compassion. In addition to general family law issues, like divorce, custody, and support, Ms. McQueen devotes almost half of her practice to helping families navigate issues with aging or disabled family members. These include loss of capacity, financial exploitation or abuse, and self-neglect. Ms. McQueen applies a reasoned and practical “big picture” approach that helps achieve the client’s goals without generating unnecessary tension or expense. A 2001 graduate of the George Washington University Law School, Ms. McQueen is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
