Kara V. Richter is the Founder of Red Key at KW Metro Center. Having a life-long passion for real estate, and after a fulfilling career as an Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Analyst for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Kara V. traded in her security clearance for a lockbox key and launched Red Key at KW Metro Center.

Kara was born near the most beautiful turquoise water and white sand beaches in Florida and grew up living and loving the Sunshine State right through college, graduating from Florida State University in 2000. After meeting her husband, Ryan, and spending almost every vacation day visiting friends and family in beautiful Virginia, she knew that it would only be a matter of time until the two of them expanded Red Key to the DC Metro area.

Kara has both personally and professionally bought and sold countless properties and has become an expert in residential, investment, and vacation properties from the Florida Panhandle to the Virginia Potomac. Her keen understanding of real estate markets and her remarkable ability to advertise properties provides Red Key clients with consistent and profitable results. Whenever Kara is not busy finding her clients’ dream homes or negotiating the best possible deals for Red Key Listings, she is likely working out, playing tennis, hiking, or pretty much anything outdoors with her husband Ryan and their adorable Shar-Pei, Rio.
