Harlem Symphony Orchestra

American orchestras often manage to be even less diverse than classical audiences. Music director Amadi Azikiwe is changing that with the Harlem Symphony Orchestra, an African-American ensemble whose performance here includes a symphony by Baltimore composer James Lee III and pieces by Beethoven and Mozart.
