Poetry Reading: Carolyn Forché

Award-winning poet Carolyn Forché reads from her work at the historic Folger Shakespeare Library. Her poetry collections include Gathering the Tribes, The Country Between Us, Blue Hour, and most recently, In the Lateness of the World. Her famed anthology, Against Forgetting, was praised by Nelson Mandela as “itself a blow against tyranny, against prejudice, against injustice.” A reception and book-signing will follow the reading.
