Reflecting Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Exhibition
September 17 - November 14
In celebration of its 40th year, Pyramid Atlantic presents an exhibition of work not seen by the public in over a decade. Pyramid Founder Helen C Frederick curates the show from an archive of over 700 pieces made by more than 260 artists at Pyramid Atlantic under her leadership. These works include editioned prints, pulp paintings, and art books primarily made between 1981 and 2007. In addition to paying homage to the breadth of talent that has made work at Pyramid, the exhibition brings exciting revelations and rare finds from artists, many of whom have since achieved greater notoriety. Selected artists include Ken Aptekar, Cynthia Carlson, William Christenberry, David Chung, Jerry Clapsaddle, Ke Francis, Tom Green, Michael Gross, Ellen Hill, Rick Hungerford, Shoichi Ida, Akira Kurosaki, Hung Liu, Despina Meimaroglou, Larry Mullins, Tom Nakashima, Alice Notley, Jiro Okura, Michael B. Platt, Phyllis Plattner, Kenneth Polinskie, Andrew Raftery, Tim Rollins and K.O.S., Miriam Schapiro, Joyce Scott, May Swenson, Yuriko Yamaguchi, and Martie Zelt.
