Suresh Sundas and Dante Datta’s snack-focused Indian restaurant, which opened nearly a year ago, feels even more self-assured than Daru, its acclaimed predecessor down the road. Menu headings—many written in Hindi—refer to specific regions of India and to Nepal, where Sundas was born. The chef leaves a distinctive signature on just about every dish, such as Wagyu momo dumplings with nutty buckwheat wrappers swimming in sesame chutney or a grilled salmon kebab humming with mustard oil.
