The 100 Very Best Restaurants: You Get to Guess!

Think you’re a restaurant know-it-all? Prove it. We’re hosting a contest to see who can guess the rankings of the top 20 restaurants in our upcoming 100 Very Best Restaurants issue.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! At least it is to us here at The Washingtonian. That’s because it’s nearly time for our annual 100 Very Best Restaurants issue to hit newsstands, and we couldn’t be more excited for you to see what’s in store.

This year’s theme seems to be change—in politics and beyond—and it’s no different for our critics’ list of their favorite places to eat in the area, which they’ve ranked from 1 to 100. The list has been shaken up and stirred, and we think you’ll be fascinated by the results.

The issue doesn’t go on sale for another couple weeks, but in the meantime, we’re holding our first-ever Rank the Restaurants contest. What’s the concept? We want you to guess which restaurants—in order—made it into our top 20. (We thought about making you try all 100 but then decided that would just be sadistic.) The person who most closely predicts the top 20 spots will win a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

So mull over your choices, put them in a list, and send them off to candrews@washingtonian.com with the subject link “Rank the Restaurants Contest.” We’ll announce the winner the week of January 20.
