Fairfax’s First Impressions salon hosts a benefit this week for local cancer patient Lyla Juarez. Featuring a fashion show with designs from local labels such as Erika Schreiber and a silent auction, all proceeds from the event will be donated to the family in need. Eco-conscious duo Luri & Wilma host their second Sew, Stitch, Save clothing swap of the year over cocktails and light brunch, this time at Columbia Heights’ Wonderland Ballroom. Unlike the first swap, this event is free, but an online RSVP and five garments to trade are required for entry.
