Dr. Carter is a Washington, D.C. Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. She is based at Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital where she operates her women-led, high-volume private practice. Known for her compassionate approach, Dr. Carter assures that each patient feels heard and supported, and she has an unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional results.

In her office, Dr. Carter sees patients undergoing procedures from the cosmetic- face/neck lifts, blepharoplasties, abdominoplasties, liposuction, botox/fillers, etc.- to the extensive skin cancer reconstructions and melanoma care that affect a large population of her patients. Beyond her thriving practice, Dr. Carter is recognized for her philanthropic endeavors. Her efforts are utilized by a community group called Catholic Charities and also abroad as Dr. Carter has traveled frequently to underserved communities of Haiti and Senegal. Dr. Carter’s staff consists of exemplary young women who have a healthcare background and have been extensively trained under Dr. Carter’s guidance to provide unmatched care to any and all patients regardless of age, race, sex, or creed. Each member of her invaluable team intends to further their professional career by attending nursing, physician assistant, or medical school in the future.

This upcoming January, Dr. Carter is planning a mission trip to Sierra Leone with four of her medical assistants. This team of women is excited to provide much-needed surgical care to those in need and this trip continues to be a testament to Dr. Carter’s dedication to making an impact, both at home and on a global scale.
