Visit WebsiteDr. Friedman received his Board Certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the Aesthetic Society, as well as the clinical faculties of both George Washington and Georgetown Universities. Dr. Friedman served as the Chairman of the Sub-Section of Plastic Surgery at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland from 1997 through 2000.
Dr. Friedman has published papers on breast surgery in Plastic Surgical literature and has presented papers in local, national and international meetings. He has been consistently recognized as one of the Top Doctors in Washingtonian Magazine as well as Checkbook, Bethesda Magazine and Best of Rockville.
The challenge of a consultation is to assess the patient's concerns, evaluate those concerns, educate the patient and provide options to best address them. This is often facilitated by showing typical patient examples and computer imaging. The goal is to have a well informed patient who can make an educated decision.
Education:
Dr. Friedman obtained his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. Post-graduate education took place at the University of Michigan in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Post-graduate fellowships in Hand and Microvascular Surgery in San Francisco and Cosmetic and Breast Surgery in Honolulu were completed prior to going into practice in the Washington Metropolitan area in October of 1984.
