The Leukemia Ball presented by PhRMA is one of Washington, D.C.’s largest non-political black ties, and over 29 years has raised more than $52 million for the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to impose the lives of patients and their families. The 2016 event features music by Barenaked Ladies and comedy by Kathleen Madigan.
For the 19th consecutive year, the Ball features the chance to win a brand new Mercedes-Benz. Thanks to the generosity of the Washington, DC area Mercedes-Benz dealers, LLS will raffle off a 2016 GL300 SUV 4MATIC (Grand Prize, MSRP $40,900), and a 2016 C300 4MATIC Sports Sedan (First Prize, MSRP $40,900). Tickets cost $100, and winners do not need to be present to win. Only 5,000 tickets printed. To purchase, call (703) 399-2958.
New to the Leukemia Ball this year is a Young Professionals ticket which includes balcony seating, a dessert buffet, wine & beer, viewing of the Mission Moment, Mercedes-Benz raffle drawing, and the night’s entertainment. The ticket is $150, and is meant to make the event more accessible to the future leaders of D.C., who will one day help to spearhead the event. Tickets are available at https://www.llsform.org/0036FS01/YoungProfessionalTicket/index.html.
