Sports Medicine & Hip Preservation

Dr. Scott Faucett is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialization in sports medicine. He brings a patient specific and goal oriented approach to helping patients recover from acute and chronic injuries including non-operative treatment, as well as office-based and surgical procedures. As the director of the Hip Preservation Center at George Washington Hospital he manages a team that provides the most up to date diagnostic and treatment programs for non-arthritic hip injuries. He also specializes in sports medicine conditions including knee cartilage restoration, meniscus repair and transplant, and ligament reconstruction, as well as sports related ankle and shoulder injuries. Dr. Faucett has been recognized internationally for his research. He has spoken at international, national, and local conferences as well as published numerous articles and book chapters. He serves as an active team physician for the United States Ski and Snowboard teams and treats collegiate and professional athletes. Dr. Faucett has recently joined the The Orthopaedic Center, a division of the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics (CAO) and accepts patients of any age and most insurances.
