Daniel Boulud Rep Says No Deal Yet Signed with CityCenter

Eater DC spied a line in a recent Wall Street Journal article about DC real estate that indicated Daniel Boulud’s rumored project at CityCenter—the development project at the site of the former Washington Convention Center downtown—may be a done deal.

The article, titled “Washington D.C.: The New Boomtown,“ mentions 60 restaurants planned for the 10-acre project, “including one from three-star Michelin chef Daniel Boulud.“ According to a the famous chef’s people, however, the Journal jumped the gun. “A deal has still not been signed for a CityCenter location, though we are still in negotiations, the rep told us Tuesday morning. Boulud owns restaurants in eight cities, with seven spots alone in New York City. It has been speculated that DBGB, a casual bistro concept, would be the one moving in at CityCenter. Stay tuned.
