Ah, Thursday—the day you most crave and deserve an after-work drink (though for the record, there’s nothing wrong with Martini Monday). Check out one of the many new happy hours around town, whether you’re drinking cheap beers at a new watering hole or noshing on recently discounted eats at a longtime favorite.

Copperwood Tavern
4021 Campbell Ave., Arlington; 703-552-8010
The deal: Due to Virginia lawmakers fancying mystery over practicality, we can’t tell you about this Shirlington Village tavern’s drink specials. But we’re pretty sure they exist in the month-old space, along with $1 oysters.
The details: Monday through Friday 4 to 7.

The Daily Dish
8301 Grubb Rd., Silver Spring; 301-588-6300
The deal: The Kalmia Road shutdown is apparently affecting commuters and traffic to this Silver Spring eatery, so it’s offering some liquid solutions: $5 “rush hour rum runners” and “sloe down gin fizzes,” as well as $4 brews and wines.
The details: Monday through Friday 3:30 to 6:30 at the cocktail bar.

The Heights
3115 14th St., NW; 202-797-7227
The deal: The recently revamped neighborhood restaurant offers two happy hours: one early-evening round of extensive discounts, and late-night offer with $4 to $5 bites such as shishito peppers and fried oysters.
The details: Regular happy hour runs daily from 4 to 7. Late-night happy hour runs Thursday 10:30 to 11:30 and Friday and Saturday 10:30 to midnight.

Kapnos
2201 14th St., NW; 202-234-5000
The deal: Go Greek for happy hour at Mike Isabella’s 14th Street spot, which dishes up $5 small plates like spanakopita and Greek fries, $7 boozy lemonades, and $6 on-tap Prosecco and vino.
The details: Monday through Friday 5 to 7.

Markhams Bar and Grill
7141 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda; 240-800-4700
The deal: The latest addition to the Bethesda bar/restaurant scene is this casual spot, which serves $3 rail drinks and domestic beers and half-price wine for happy hour. Come during the Redskins game on Thursday, November 7, and you can get messy with half-price wings.
The details: Monday through Friday 4 to 7.

Mi Cocina
5471 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 301-652-1195
The deal: Head to this Chevy Chase Tex-Mex spot for its brand-new Five at Five happy hour, with a handful of $5 options including classic and skinny margaritas, wines, nachos, and more. Two perks: a patio with heaters for channeling a summery vibe, and late-night deals.
The details: Monday through Friday 5 to 7, and then again from 9 to close.

Mintwood Place
1813 Columbia Rd., NW; 202-234-6732
The deal: Chef Cedric Maupillier’s newish happy hour menu has expanded, offering $5 refreshers and a large portion of the regular menu at a discount, including desserts.
The details: Tuesday through Friday 5:30 to 7 in the bar area only.

Park View Patio
3632 Georgia Ave., NW; 202-291-2182
The deal: The Park View neighborhood’s newest bar opens with a generous deal: buy-one-get-one-free drinks until 9. Indulge inside or on the roomy outdoor patio if the weather’s decent.
The details: Thursday through Sunday 6 to 9.

The W Hotel Living Room
515 15th St., NW; 202-661-2400
The deal: You don’t have to be a hotel guest to lounge in the W’s swank lobby. While cocktails normally start at $15, the newly launched happy hour offers $10 mixtures and snacks, $8 spirits and glasses of wine, and $5 brews. Not dirt cheap, but cheaper.
The details: Daily 4 to 7.

Zentan
1155 14th St., NW; 202-379-4366
The deal: Launching today, November 7, you’ll find $1 local War Shore and Battle Creek oysters as well as regular happy hour deals. Eat more for the environment, as all shells are recycled to build Chesapeake beds.
The details: Thursday 3 to 7.
