The Hot Ticket: Your Guide to Events on Sale

Here’s your Hot Ticket, our Thursday weekly guide to concert and other event tickets going on sale in the days ahead. Read on for this week’s heads-ups.

Son Volt brings its Southern alt-country rock to the 9:30 Club May 17. Tickets for the show are on sale today and cost $20. (Scroll down on that page till you reach Son Volt)

For longer than I care to remember (I can’t be that old!), the Vans Warped Tour has been taking punk, alternative, metal, and hip-hop acts on tour around the country. This summer the tour stops at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Wednesday, July 25, and tickets are on sale this Saturday, April 14 at 10am. $29.75

Godsmack has the recipe for alternative metal down, and the band brings its act to DAR Constitution Hall May 26. Tickets are available Friday, April 13, at 10 am and cost a hefty $38.50.

The always theatrical, brooding, and literate musical legend Morrissey comes to Wolf Trap July 2. Tickets to his gig, as well as to performances other artists—among them Lyle Lovett, Lucinda Williams, the B-52s, and more—go on sale Saturday, April 14, at noon. (A Morrissey pre-sale is on right now here; if you Google around enough, you can probably find the password.) 

The beautiful and trendy folks from hipster site Brightestyoungthings.com present “infamy,” with a DJ set by local spinner Will Eastman, a live performance by Codebreaker, and visuals created by the people behind the site. $10 will get you in for some great people-watching and even better dancing.
