The Tweet Beat

It’s almost a disappointment. After months and months of snarkiness and partisan rhetoric, things in the political twittersphere have calmed down to such an extent that there seems to be a pervading sense of… goodwill. Is this possible? We know easter means chocolate and chocolate releases serotonin which makes people happy, so it could just be a temporary lull. We hope so. All these tweets about eggs and happiness and family are pretty dull.

In other news, Steve King lost 13 lbs over Lent! Amazing! Arlen Specter is enjoying the start of baseball season, Pete Hoekstra is cooking, Cathy McMorris is optimistic and Peter Roskam is still avidly watching Lost. And Randy Neugebauer isn’t about to let his newfound notoriety slide by neglecting patriotism. No, sir.
