Paisean Faisean! is a showcase of the best of contemporary Irish fashion, featuring designers who worked with Rag & Bone and the late Alexander McQueen. Tuesday, March 1
Get to know the 1,600 dialects, 28 states, and 330,000 deities of India during the Kennedy Center’s Maximum India festival. Catch Indian dance, music, theater, and more today through March 20. Highlights include snake charmer Gulabi Sapera and a performance of Ismat Apa Ke Naam, based on short stories that examine gender and the caste system.

Wednesday, March 2
What My Husband Doesn’t Know by DC’s David E. Talbert is a drama about adultery starring Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny’s Child. It’s at the Warner Theatre through March 6; get tickets ($32 to $49) at Ticketmaster.

Thursday, March 3
The DC Independent Film Festival features works about a variety of topics, from the friendship between a young girl and a brain-damaged man (Amber Rose) to a modern, gay fairy tale (Bedfellows). There’ll also be seminars from filmmakers such as Eduardo Sanchez, director of The Blair Witch Project. At various locations through March 13.
