One of the first bars to open along Northeast DC’s
now-revitalized H Street in 2006, the Argonaut hosts events most days,
including a board-game night, dog-friendly happy hours, and trivia on
Wednesdays that features clever original questions in lieu of the
prepackaged format at other bars. Food is above the standard for
neighborhood bars—crab legs, fish tacos, steamer pots to fit the nautical
theme. Insider tip: The ship-like first floor attracts a more low-key
