This gay-but-straight-friendly watering hole opened at Ninth
and U in 2007, years before a profusion of restaurants, cafes, and wine
taverns made the once-sleepy neighborhood a nightlife destination. Today
it’s a relaxed refuge in that crowded scene, with two floors of bars and
one of the biggest rooftops in the area (tented and open year-round).
Weekends, it draws partiers on their way to the nearby dance club Town,
but on weeknights it feels more like the corner pub—just a bit more
fabulous. Insider tip: Plan a Wednesday-night group outing for the bawdy
