Christmas Music, the DC Way

"It's a Bad Brains Christmas, Charlie Brown" should be a new holiday tradition.

The 1982 song “Christmas Eve in Washington” is a strong contender for the worst holiday recording of all time. (Not to mention being one of the worst tracks about Washington at any time of year.)

Fortunately, one does not need to wallow in schmaltz in order to combine Christmas and the music of Washington. The video below first circulated last year, but it’s worthy of being an annual tradition for all Washingtonians who love cherished holiday classics and our city’s homegrown music.
