Dr. Gouldin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology who has a special interest in minimally invasive periodontics, as well as the most cutting edge dental implant therapies. He has been treating the residents of Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. for over 25 years. Dr. Gouldin is committed to creating a peaceful office environment, and he utilizes today’s most innovative medical technologies to effectively treat his patients with esthetics and comfort in mind. Although Dr. Gouldin is certified to perform IV sedation, Northern Virginia Periodontics has partnered with Medical Director and board certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Teresa Lee Roberts and her group, Anesthesia Connections Dental, L.L.C., for IV sedation and general anesthesia services. Dr. Roberts and her team have vast experience in healthcare and are committed to providing safe IV sedation and general anesthesia administration and monitoring of vitals throughout your procedure. This allows Dr. Gouldin to focus solely on what he is most highly trained for – your periodontal or dental implant related treatment.

Dr. Gouldin offers the latest treatments for gum recession (Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique), and periodontal disease (LANAP). Perhaps the most exciting recent advance in dentistry that Dr. Gouldin performs involves removing one or multiple failed teeth and immediately replacing the lost anatomy of the tooth root and crown through state of the art dental implant therapy. Dr. Gouldin is an active member of many local and national dental organizations, and he and his partner, Dr. Carlos, lead three Study Clubs in Northern Virginia to ensure continued learning for themselves and for the dentists and hygienists with whom they collaborate.
