Shirlington wine shop the Curious Grape hosts a sake seminar and dinner at nearby Signature Theatre (4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington). Grapeseed (4865 Cordell Ave., Bethesda) hosts a wine dinner with Gerhard Reisacher of Napa Valley’s Delectus Winery. The five-course meal, which costs $125 per person, features shrimp-stuffed swai (a fish in the catfish family), Chinese sausage, and fried rice; steakhouse-style quail with spinach and onion rings; Cuban roast pork with black-bean broth and clams; lamb, celeriac, and black garlic; and an apricot napoleon. Zola Wine & Kitchen (505 Ninth St., NW) hosts a class on Rhône Valley wines. Rhônes, single varietals, and classic blends from Crozez-Hermitage, St. Joseph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and the central coasts of California and Australia will be tasted along with a selection of cheeses and snacks.
