We’ve narrowed our saucy contenders down to 16, and every day on the Best Bites Blog, we’ll ask you to vote for which bars and restaurants should move on to round three. Morning, wing fans. First up: Let’s go over who won the final two bouts of round one. Boundary Stone flew away with it, easily sending Hard Times Cafe to the round-one bone pile. And Cleveland Park’s Nanny O’Briens won a pretty decisive victory over Old Glory.
We begin round two with a fight between Oohhs and Aahhs on U Street. The soul food spot’s wings are up against the General Tso’s-style wings from the lounge at the Source. As we narrow our wing places down to eight, your vote counts more than ever, so be sure to check back this afternoon for our second bout of the day.
