Let's Check Out Those New Dishes at Bar Pilar, Shall We? (Pictures)

The recently enlarged 14th Street hotspot boasts bigger dishes and a new dining room in which to eat them.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to pop over to Pilar and check out the upstairs addition–not to mention the new menu of big plates that dwarf those tasty snacks downstairs–that’s okay. You’re pretty busy.

Longtime fans of chef Justin Bittner‘s cooking, however, will want to pay the newly enlarged eatery a visit. A sunny second-level dining room, lined with a row of repurposed farm doors and decorated with custom art, is the spot to sample new dishes like Catalan-style snails, a riff on veal saltimbocca with Serrano ham, and roasted pheasant with wild rice.
