Beer hatching: The Red Hen releases its first home brew, a collaboration with DC Brau Brewing Company and Linden Vineyards, on Tuesday. The Sailing the Seas of Lees beer—aged for six weeks in oak wine barrels—will be available for $7 per glass until it’s all gone.

Aquarium dinner: Eat fish among more fish at the National Aquarium on Wednesday with an interactive dinner by chef Xavier Deshayes from 6:30 to 9. The four-course meal is designed to teach guests about sustainable seafood by comparing frequently swapped species side-by-side to see the difference. The event is $79 per person.

Farm dinner: Join Forrest Pritchard, author and owner of Smith Meadow Farm in Berryville, Virginia, for a farm-to-table dinner at Bastille on Wednesday (see the menu). The five-course meal is $89 per person with wine pairings.

Manhattan, part three: Remember when the barrel-aged Manhattan at the Capella Hotel’s Rye Bar ran out only eight days after opening and then returned in all of its $22 glory? Well, it ran out again and is back again Wednesday. Better yet: It’s free. Stop by between 5 and 8 for complimentary canapés and tastes from the new barrel.

Birthday bash: Seafood restaurant DC Coast celebrates its 15th anniversary on Thursday at 7 with a special wine dinner. Guests will be treated to all-star dishes and stories from the restaurant’s beginning. The event is $150, including tax and gratuity.

Scotchy Scotch Scotch: Don’t have plans yet for Father’s Day? Treat Dad to a pre-holiday Scotch tasting at Trummer’s on Main on Thursday at 6. The evening includes four tastings, hand-rolled cigars, and accompanying snacks from new chef Austin Fausett. Call 703-266-1623 for reservations ($50 per person).

Piraat party: Jack Rose hosts a pirate-themed beery bash on Thursday with Jef Versele, Belgian brewer of Gulden Draak and Piraat brews. Don your seafaring finest for the tap takeover, which includes $6 drafts on 15 rare brews, a pirate costume contest, and more.

Taste of Reston: Head to Reston Town Center on Friday and Saturday for an eclectic food festival, including live music, beer and wine samples, a carnival, and a variety of vendors dishing up eats. Tickets, which include carnival rides and/or food, start at $20 and are available online.

Four Bs: Barbecue, bourbon, beer, and Bob Schieffer come together at last on Saturday at Occidental Grill & Seafood, where the Face the Nation anchor will perform with his band during an all-you-can-eat feast from noon to 3. Tickets are $55 for adults and $35 for kids under 15, with partial proceeds going toward the nonprofit Microgreens.

Ladies’ and gents’ mixology classes: Bourbon Steak barkeeps and sommelier team up for two simultaneous cocktail classes on Saturday from 11:30 to 1:30. Bourbon 101 is for the ladies, who’ll mix up Manhattans and other brown-spirit-based drinks. The other is for the guys, who’ll learn the ins and outs of sparkling wine. Things don’t stay divided for long, as everyone comes together after for snacks. Call 202-944-2026 for more information and reservations.

Crawfish boil: Evening Star Cafe throws its second annual crawfish boil on Saturday from 1 to 5. Chef Jim Jeffords prepares a boil of crawfish, corn, potatoes, and house-made sausage, alongside accompaniments like mac and cheese and mini hot dogs for the kids. Boil platters are $14, with additional eats, beers, and drinks sold separately.

Father’s Day: Mark your calendars—it’s going down on Sunday. Check out our food-focused gift ideas, from pricey to nearly free, plus a recipe for GBD’s brunch punch.
