Shopping for booze nerds can be tricky—they tend to be rather particular about their books, bottles, and gadgets. So to take the guesswork out of gift offerings for the wine, beer, and craft cocktail lovers on your list, we consulted pros like Kathryn Bangs, sommelier at Komi and Little Serow, and the Passenger’s Derek Brown.
Turns out they’re full of ideas.
“A Vespa made out of chocolate would make a delicious Italian Christmas present!” says Francesco Amodeo, the beverage director and general manager of Bibiana. And Sebastian Zutant, wine director at Proof, has this simple wish: “A wine cellar that covers my whole basement, with a Jacuzzi (and wine) in it. Not sure how we would still keep the wine cold. Santa can figure that out.”
