We visited Redwood, the NoCal-inspired restaurant in ritzy Bethesda Lane (and sister restaurant of Mendocino Grille and Sonoma), to find out what diners thought of the seasonal fare and open-air space.

Went to Redwood for early dinner on Monday Aug 11th.
Our fish entree was excellent. Atmosphere very nice. The service was very very poor. Once the order was taken the food arrived in reasonable time but we never again saw our server until we called for the check.
Too bad the service is so terrible

Visited for lunch the other week and the food was great. Service was brutally slow. Waited for our glasses of wine for a long time. One member of our party had to excuse himself to feed the meter and came back to see that they still hadn’t taken our meal order yet. Again, good food, nice atmosphere... poor poor service (at lunch time of course).

Shouldn’t it really be ’NorCal"? Unless, of course, the menu consists entirely of Nutrasweet and the like.

Worried about how you’re going to pull that Thanksgiving meal together by November 26? Luckily, there’s lots of ways to get a takeout turkey-day dinner so you don’t have to lift a finger in the kitchen. When ordering a turkey, keep in mind that a ten-to-12 pound turkey will feed four to six people.
