The Pizza Pool: RedRocks Pizzeria vs. Tony’s NY Pizza

We're onto the third round in our Pizza Pool! Vote today on who you think makes the best pizza in Washington.

UPDATE: This poll is now closed; RedRocks won!

Well, folks, we've made it even further on figuring out the best pizza in Washington! We're on to the Edible Eight of our Washingtonian.com Pizza Pool. Pete's New Haven Style Apizza eked out a win over Posto, and Ella's advanced over Radius. For a refresher on how the brackets will work, head here.

RedRocks Pizzeria: This Columbia Heights pizzeria's Neapolitan-style pies are cooked at 750 to 900 degrees in a wood-burning, dome-shaped brick oven. Toppings—such as San Marzano tomatoes, arugula, capers, buffalo mozzarella, and Sicilian oregano—keep with the Italian vibe.

Tony's NY Pizza: It may be in a strip mall, but Tony’s NY Pizza lives up to its name. The D’Agostino family conjures memories of Broadway pizza haunts with jumbo triangles sporting a delicately browned crust.

This poll will stay open until noon on Wednesday.
