“Food & Wine” Opens Voting for People’s Best New Chef

Four local toques are in the running to win the food pub’s annual popularity contest.

Every year, Food & Wine chooses the ten best new chefs in America. But last year, the magazine debuted an additional category: People’s Best New Chef. Finalists are chosen across ten US regions. The chef with the most votes total wins.

Among the Mid-Atlantic nominees: David Guas of Bayou Bakery in Arlington, Mike Isabella of GraffiatoKaren Nicolas of Equinox, and Bibiana’s Nicholas Stefanelli. They’re up against five Pennsylvania chefs and Christopher Edwards from Lovettsville, Virginia. Vote here between now and March 11.
